How do you disable account in AD and prevent new incoming email?

Hello - When I disable user accounts in AD, I would also like to prevent new email to that user. Any ideas? As it is now, my disabled accounts (old users that have since left) still get email to their inboxes. How can I prevent this? Thanks!
