sql backup on MOSS 2007 team sites failing

I have a weekly full backup, daily differential backup schedule on my databases on my database server. Currently, all user databases are being backed up under this plan. I have more than 50 databases on this server. The only items that are failing backup are the MOSS Team sites database in production and the developer's instance of the team site. They fail even when I try to push the job manually.

** I have verified that there is enough disk space to perform the backup.
** I have verified that the account running the backup has access to write to the folder where the backups are stored, as all backups go to the same folder and the rest of the backups are all working.

Here is the error message I get: "BACKUP failed to complete for the command BACKUP DATABASE MyDatabaseNameGoesHere. Check the backup application log for detailed messages.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
