Bootcamp 3.0, Vista SP2, iMac(Early 2006) and Blank External Monitor
Bootcamp 3.0, Vista SP2, iMac(Early 2006) and Blank External Monitor
Ok here is the scenario.
I have an iMac (early 2006), Intel Core Duo, Radeon X1600 with Snow Leopard installed and all latest firmware.
I configured Bootcamp, installed vista x86, installed bootcamp 3.0 for windows, updated vista.
The Dual display function (which worked under bootcamp 2.*, whatever the latest was) has failed again, this was broken in earlier bootcamp 2.0 but was subsequently repaired i assume by apple, but now the issue is back with bootcamp 3.0
What actually happens is the vista load screen with the moving yellow bar works on both screens then during that the secondary display turns black(no signal) and never reappears.
I have tried installing bootcamp 2.1 again from the leopard CD, updating to the latest radeon driver, downgrading to an xp version of radeon software for bootcamp and now i am fresh out of ideas
a new take on this would be great, anyone offering any suggestions to solve it gets a cookie (in the form of lots of lovely points)
thanks in advance
