How do I import an iCal calendar into Outlook 2007 with all the events and tasks included?

I have spent days adding my entire schedule for the next 3 months into Windows Calendar. For those of you unfamiliar with Windows Calendar, it ships with Vista and stores calendars in the iCal (.ics) file format.

After completely finishing my calendars (there are 5 of them, each with separate appointments/tasks), I happened to accidentally open up Outlook 2007. It has some features that I was missing from Windows Calendar, and I decided to switch.

This should be as easy as importing the iCal files into Outlook, right? Wrong. After importing, all my events appeared correctly but none of my tasks were present. I checked the .ics files that Windows Calendar was using, and they are definitely stored in those files.

Since then, I have experimented with converting the .ics files to a calendar format that Outlook knows better: .csv. But I couldn't find any programs that convert events AND tasks to csv from iCal.

It is also worth noting that Outlook 2007 does not support the "TRIGGER" property of the iCal standard properly, and generates a "Send/Receive" error when I try to import some of my calendars.

If anyone sees a flaw in what I am doing or knows of a better way to do it, then let me know please.

We always had problems with iCal's in previous verisons.  Wikipedia touches on it briefly.
